What if I have a problem with a Contractor?

Just like hiring any contractor, you should do your due diligience. Before any work begins, make sure to sign a properly written estimate or contract as this will often have provisions for dealing with the most common situations. With any remodeling or construction project, problems come up. Always try to work with your contractor to resolve any issues. Project surprises can create unexpected costs and delays but communication with your contractor when one of these events happen is crucial. For example, if a contractor says the project will take 10 days to complete, don't assume it will be ten work days in a row. It may be 10 days over the course of a month. In extreme cases, you can report unsolvable issues to your State or Provincial Contracting Licensing Board.

Can I post more than one project?

Very important! The more information you provide, the greater the chances are that you will be contacted by the right contractor for you. It's also important to provide accurate information so contractors can gauge the project accordingly. The "Project Details" section of the form is there to make sure we know exactly what you would like done, the scale of the project, the location, and any other details missing from the project form.
